The Patriot Post: Mid-May Issue 2025

Updated: Jul 19

Greetings, Fellow Conservatives!

May is in full swing, and it’s an exciting time for the Flagler County Republican Executive Committee! We’ve already had a strong start to the month with energizing meetings, successful community events, and growing momentum as we head into a critical election season. With summer just around the corner, we’ve got even more important updates, impactful meetings, and engaging events ahead.

Now’s the perfect time to stay active, informed, and connected with our conservative community. Here’s what's happened so far and what’s coming up:

From the Chairman’s Desk: Help Us Build the Flagler GOP—Where the Rubber Meets the Road

Patriots,

As Chairman of the Flagler County Republican Executive Committee, I want to speak to you directly—not just as a fellow conservative, but as someone who knows that the future of our country depends on what we do right here at home.

Over the next quarter, the Flagler GOP will be launching a major push to grow our organization, expand our ground game, and prepare for the crucial elections ahead. We need more volunteers, more financial supporters, and more leaders stepping up to join us on the front lines. That means you.

The Flagler GOP has a clear mission:

  1. Register Republican voters and grow our voter base across Flagler County.

  2. Support and re-elect Republican officials who act as true conservatives and conduct themselves with professionalism.

  3. Raise the funds needed to continue building a strong local Party and win elections.

This is where the real election work gets done—at the county level, in the precincts, in the neighborhoods. This is where the rubber meets the road.

The left is organized, well-funded, and determined to push their radical agenda into every corner of American life. We cannot afford to sit back and watch. We must build our numbers, grow our influence, and take action—right now.

Here’s how you can help:

Volunteer your time. Whether you have five hours a week or just five hours a month, we can put your skills to work.

Donate to fuel our efforts. Every dollar we raise goes toward outreach, training, voter engagement, and winning elections.

Join us as a Precinct Committee Member (PCM). PCMs are the backbone of our local Republican Party. They’re the neighborhood leaders who organize, inform, and activate voters.

If you've ever wondered how to make a real difference, this is it. This is your call to action. The future of Flagler County—and our country—depends on what we do now.

Let’s get to work—for Flagler, for Florida, and for the future of our country.

For freedom and the future,

Perry MitranoChairmanFlagler County Republican Executive Committee

Two Weeks of America First Wins: Trump Leads Abroad, Patriots Fight at Home

The past two weeks have been a powerful reminder of why the America First agenda continues to energize patriots across the country.

President Donald J. Trump made headlines during his impactful trip to the Middle East, where he was welcomed with high honors and awarded the Order of Zayed by the United Arab Emirates—the nation's highest civilian award. This recognition is reserved for world leaders who have made a significant impact, and it reflects the deep respect Trump commands on the world stage. Under his leadership, America doesn't apologize—it leads with strength, vision, and resolve.

Back on American soil, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is making real progress in the battle to eliminate dangerous chemicals and artificial dyes from our food supply. With growing public support and undeniable evidence about the health risks, Kennedy is forcing the conversation into the mainstream. His fight is about protecting future generations from toxic ingredients and holding powerful corporations accountable.

At the same time, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard is standing firm in her call for accountability. Over the past week, she took aim at former FBI Director James Comey for a reckless and politically charged social media post that many see as clear call to violence. Tulsi's bold stance shows what principled leadership looks like—fearless, focused, and unapologetically committed to truth.

This is what America First looks like—bold diplomacy, clean and healthy food for our families, and a government that works for the people, not against them. But this movement doesn’t run on autopilot. It runs on us—the grassroots, the volunteers, the everyday Americans who are ready to fight for our country’s future.

Now is the time for every Republican to get involved. Reach out to find out how you can get more involved with your Flagler GOP, support America First candidates, get out the vote, and help spread the message. If we want to keep our communities, our state, and our country RED, we must stand united, stay active, and never back down.

America is worth it—and together, we will win.

Our next FCREC General Meeting will be held on Wednesday June 11th at the Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Pkwy NE, Palm Coast, FL 32137. Social time begins at 5:30 PM, and the meeting will start promptly at 6:00 PM. These meetings are a great way to stay informed on the latest local and national political issues, connect with fellow conservatives, and get involved in our efforts to keep Florida red. We encourage all members to attend!

Step Up, Stand Out: Help Grow the Movement!

The America First movement is gaining momentum—and here in our community, we need YOU to help keep it going strong.

There’s never been a more important time to get involved. The 2024 election cycle may be wrapping up, but 2026 is right around the corner—and while big changes happen at the national level, it’s the local, grassroots action that fuels the fire. Whether you’re a natural people-person or someone who knows their way around social media, we have a place for you on the team.

Love meeting new people? Join our Membership Team!

If you enjoy making connections and talking with fellow patriots, our Membership Team is the perfect fit. From greeting new members at events to following up with potential volunteers and helping people plug in where they’re most passionate, this role is all about growing our base and building community. Your energy and outreach will make a real difference.

Know your way around social media? Let’s put that talent to work!

The left has always been good at utilizing social media and staying on top of trends. From TikTok videos to viral memes, they know how to shape the conversation and reach younger voters fast. If we want to compete—and win—in 2026, we need to meet and exceed what they’re putting out. That means more bold content, smarter messaging, and a stronger online presence across every platform. If you're creative, tech-savvy, or just eager to help fight back online, our Social Media Team needs you.

Why this matters:

Winning elections starts with a strong organization—and a strong organization starts with people like YOU stepping up to lead, serve, and inspire. We must begin building a strong foundation now for the upcoming 2026 midterm elections. Historically, midterms tend to shift control of Congress away from the sitting president's party. Let’s work hard to make sure that doesn't happen this time—so President Trump has a cooperative Congress that will help advance the America First agenda and get great things done for this country.

Here is your moment to make a difference.Join the fight. Grow the movement. Help keep our county—and our country—RED.

📩 Get involved?Reach out today and let us know how you'd like to plug in:Media Committee or  Membership Coordination

Together, we win.

Reports from the Quarterly RPOF Meeting

State Committeeman and Committeewoman Represent Flagler in Statewide Leadership

Our State Committeeman and Committeewoman (SCM/SCW) continue to play vital roles in shaping the direction of the Republican Party throughout Florida. Both have participated in extensive training alongside fellow SCMs and SCWs from across the state, covering essential areas like voter integrity, grassroots organizing, and get-out-the-vote (GOTV) efforts. They’ve also engaged in collaborative strategy development and practical skills training—including door knocking and community outreach—to sharpen Flagler’s impact in upcoming elections.

In addition to these efforts, both our Chairman and SCM/SCW regularly take part in ongoing training and collaborative information exchanges with party leaders from other counties. This ensures Flagler remains aligned with broader Republican initiatives while also sharing our successful local strategies.

On the financial side, I had the privilege of serving on the Budget Committee and voting to send the proposed budget to the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) Executive Board for final approval. This is a crucial step in ensuring our resources are effectively allocated to support Republican victories across the state.

Sharon Demers recently made history as the first Flagler representative to serve as Chairwoman of Florida’s Congressional District 6. She provided a detailed analysis of the most recent election results by county and offered valuable insights into the management of the election process. Her leadership continues to elevate Flagler’s voice in regional and state-level discussions.

At the recent Chairman’s Caucus, we focused on how to grow our clubs, market our message, and plan engaging, enjoyable events—many of which doubled as Lincoln Day Dinners (LDD). The creativity behind these “fun with a purpose” gatherings led to astonishing fundraising outcomes, showcasing the potential of well-planned events that both energize and support our cause.

Together, these efforts reinforce Flagler County's growing influence within the Republican Party of Florida—and we’re just getting started.Perry MitranoFCREC Chair

Highlights from CD 6 Caucus and OUTRAISE Committee MeetingsAt the recent Congressional District 6 (CD 6) Caucus meeting, the primary focus was on the recent special election victory—and the enormous spending by the Democrats. Despite their heavy investment, we secured the win, underscoring the importance of smart, strategic campaigning over big-dollar spending.

In the OUTRAISE Committee meeting, the discussion centered on successful fundraising efforts from other counties. Some counties reported raising extraordinary amounts—between $50,000 and $100,000—through creative and community-focused events. These results offered valuable insights for how we can scale our fundraising here in Flagler.

One major takeaway: do not pay high fees for guest speakers. Some groups paid $10,000 to $15,000 for speakers, only to net $5,000 or less in total revenue. Instead, we should prioritize keeping more of the ticket sales revenue by hosting quality events without high-cost guests.

Another effective strategy: hold multiple smaller events throughout the year—something we’ve already begun exploring. These smaller events require less financial outlay, less effort, and can generate the same or greater revenue with reduced risk.

When it comes to larger events, a strategic move is to set aside a few complimentary tickets for members of the community who have the capacity to make major contributions. Offering these as a gift—not as a solicitation—builds goodwill and strengthens relationships. Then, during future events, we can comfortably ask for larger donations or table sponsorships from those same individuals.

On the election integrity front, a committee Zoom meeting is being scheduled to discuss proposed updates to Florida’s voting laws. Among the key issues being considered are:

  • Reducing or potentially removing early voting days

  • Limiting vote-by-mail to specific, qualifying reasons

  • Requiring two witnesses for ballots submitted from long-term care facilities

These potential changes reflect a renewed focus on voter integrity and election security. As discussions continue, Flagler’s voice will remain an active part of the conversation to ensure fair, secure, and transparent elections. Bill Gordon State Committeeman

As we close out May and look ahead to a busy summer, let us remember the true meaning of Memorial Day and honor the sacrifices made for our freedoms. The work we do as Republicans—rooted in faith, family, and freedom—carries forward the legacy of those who gave their all. Stay engaged, stay energized, and let’s continue building a stronger, more united Flagler County.
