I’m thrilled to share some exciting news—our upcoming FCREC Happy Hour event is officially SOLD OUT! The response has been incredible, and I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who signed up. This event is shaping up to be one of the most vibrant and well-attended gatherings we’ve hosted, and I couldn’t be more excited.

With such a great crowd expected, I’m reaching out with a special request. One of the highlights of our Happy Hour is our gift basket raffle, a fun and effective way to raise funds that support our efforts throughout the year. However, we’re currently short on baskets, and we want to make sure we’re ready to match the excitement and energy of the evening.

If you are able to donate a gift basket for the Happy Hour event, please call me at 703-477-3249 and let me know as soon as possible. You may bring your basket to the next REC meeting, or we can arrange to have it picked up from you beforehand—whatever works best for you.

The more baskets we have for the event, the better the chance that this will be a huge fundraising success for our REC. We must keep President Trump’s America First Agenda going strong by electing Conservative Republicans to Congress, retaining the Governor’s Mansion, and ensuring the election of every one of our local Flagler County candidates.

Trump Administration Accomplishments: A Two-Week Snapshot

FCREC Policy & Legislative Update

Over the past two weeks, the Trump administration has delivered a series of impactful wins—legislatively, administratively, and symbolically. From economic reforms to executive actions, President Trump and his team continue to push forward an agenda centered on American prosperity, strength, and freedom. Among the standout accomplishments is the passage of the monumental One Big Beautiful Bill, which now heads to the Senate after a razor-thin vote in the House.

House Passes the One Big Beautiful Bill

On May 22, the House passed the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" (H.R.1) by a narrow vote of 215–214. The bill is one of the most ambitious legislative packages advanced this year and represents a major victory for the Trump administration’s second-term goals. Its key provisions include:

• Tax Relief Expansion: Extends and expands key provisions of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, with added benefits for tipped workers, overtime earners, and small businesses.

• Enhanced Health Savings Accounts (HSAs): Lifts restrictions, allows Medicare Part A participants to contribute, and enables broader use of HSA funds—including on wellness and fitness expenses.

• Estate & Gift Tax Reforms: Increases the estate and gift tax exemption to $15 million, adjusted for inflation beginning in 2026.

• Border Security Funding: Allocates significant new investments in physical barriers, enforcement personnel, and technology at the southern border.

The bill received praise from key conservative groups and national law enforcement organizations such as the Fraternal Order of Police, citing its labor and security-friendly measures. The bill now moves to the Senate, where a tough battle is expected—but confidence is growing.

Executive Actions Reinforce Conservative Priorities

President Trump has also signed multiple executive orders that bolster his promise to reverse Biden-era policies and restore constitutional government:

• 111 Biden-Era Orders Revoked: As of late May, the administration has rolled back over a hundred executive actions from the previous administration—many related to energy regulation, education mandates, and woke corporate mandates.

• Launch of DOGE: The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) continues to gain steam, with a clear mandate to reduce the federal workforce, eliminate wasteful programs, and streamline regulatory frameworks across agencies.

Cutting Prescription Drug Costs

On May 12, President Trump signed an executive order to reduce drug prices, directing the Department of Health and Human Services to increase price transparency and fast-track generic drug approvals. The order is designed to lower costs at the pharmacy counter—particularly for seniors and middle-class families.

The Road Ahead

With summer approaching, the administration is showing no signs of slowing down. The Senate showdown over the One Big Beautiful Bill will be a defining moment—and the FCREC will be closely watching and rallying support to see it passed into law.

Flagler County Memorial Day Ceremony 

At Flagler County’s Memorial Day Ceremony, held in front of the Government Services Building, attendees gathered to honor the ultimate sacrifice made by America’s servicemen and women. U.S. Rep. Randy Fine opened the event by reminding the audience of the true meaning of Memorial Day—beyond barbecues and mattress sales, it’s a time for reflection and gratitude. Fine spoke passionately about the unique foundation of the United States, an “experiment” built not by kings or emperors, but on the ideals of freedom and liberty. He emphasized that over a million lives have been lost in defense of those ideals, and we must never lose sight of the cost of our freedom.

The keynote address was delivered by Palm Coast resident Mark Schreiber, a former Navy chaplain and retired captain, who offered a powerful and deeply emotional account of his experiences. Schreiber shared the pain of delivering news to families of fallen service members following the 1983 suicide bombing of a Marine barracks in Beirut, Lebanon, which killed 241 Americans. He recounted his first casualty call, describing the heartbreak of a widow and her four children. His words, anchored in faith and comfort, emphasized the spiritual strength that helped families endure such loss. Schreiber also told the remarkable story of Lt. j.g. Danny Wheeler, a fellow Lutheran chaplain and the last survivor pulled from the rubble, signaled by the fluttering of a purple stole in the debris.

Also in attendance were Florida Representative Sam Greco; Flagler County Commissioners Kim Carney, who also serves as FCREC Treasurer, County Commissioner Greg Hansen, and County Commission Chair Andy Dance; and School Board Member Lauren Ramirez. Representing the Flagler County Republican Executive Committee were Chairman Perry Mitrano, Vice-Chair Paula Bedner, Secretary Ron Long, and Chaplain Roland Clee, all joining in solemn tribute to the heroes remembered that day.

Out with the Old, In with the New: Unveiling the New FCREC Logo

We’re thrilled to finally unveil the brand-new logo for the Flagler County Republican Executive Committee! Many of you have been eagerly awaiting this reveal, and we appreciate your patience throughout the process.

This update wasn’t taken lightly. From the beginning, we wanted our members to have a voice in the design of the logo that represents us all. After thoughtful input and collaboration, we're proud to present a design that reflects our values, identity, and pride in our county.

The new logo features the timeless red, white, and blue color scheme, the iconic Republican elephant, and a unique touch that sets it apart—an outline of Flagler County itself. These elements together showcase both our national principles and our local pride.

Thank you to everyone who contributed ideas, feedback, and time. This new look not only strengthens our visual identity but also positions us for a bold future with a unified brand.

Next General Meeting – June 11th

Our next FCREC General Meeting will be held on Wednesday June 11th at the Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Pkwy NE, Palm Coast, FL 32137. Social time begins at 5:30 PM, and the meeting will start promptly at 6:00 PM. These meetings are a great way to stay informed on the latest local and national political issues, connect with fellow conservatives, and get involved in our efforts to keep Florida red. We encourage all members to attend!

Democrats Spoke Loud and Clear

• Every single House Democrat voted for the largest tax hike in U.S. history, voting against President Trump and Republicans’ One, Big, Beautiful Bill. 

• Here's some of what Democrats voted against: 

• The largest tax cut in American history

  • A roughly 15% tax cut for Americans earning between $30,000 and $80,000.

  • Increasing take home pay for families by roughly $13,000. 

  • No Tax on Tips, helping millions of workers keep more of their hard-earned money.

  • No Tax on Overtime, which would especially benefit law enforcement and first responders.

  • Cutting taxes for the average overtime worker by up to $1,750 a year.

  • Slashing Taxes on Social Security.

  • Made in America Auto Tax Break, letting families fully deduct their auto loan interest for American-made cars.

  • Boosting U.S. economic growth by up to 5%.

• Here's what House Democrats voted for:

  • The average taxpayer getting  a 22 percent tax hike.

  • The average family of four getting a $1,700 tax hike. 

  • Slashing the Child Tax Credit for 40 million families.

• Democrats did not listen to the 80 percent of voters who support extending President Trump's tax cuts.

  • They also didn’t listen to the including 81 percent of independents and 74 percent of Democrats who believe the Trump tax cuts should be extended.

  • Or the seniors, moderates, and suburban voters that are all overwhelmingly in favor of extending President Trump's tax cuts.

DEMOCRATS VOTED AGAINST A SECURE BORDER

• Democrats voted against permanently securing our borders.

• Here's some of what Democrats voted against: 

  • The biggest increase in funding to immigration enforcement in U.S. history.

  • Funding at least one million annual removals of illegal aliens.

  • Funding President Trump’s border wall and cutting-edge technology to protect our borders. 

  • Giving much needed bonuses to our Border Patrol and ICE agents on the front lines. 

  • Strengthening our military and protecting America against 21st-century threats.

DEMOCRATS VOTED AGAINST PROTECTING MEDICAID

• Democrats voted against the Big Beautiful Bill, which will strengthen and protect Medicaid. 

• Democrats voted against prioritizing American citizens and ending taxpayer-funded free health care for 1.4 million illegal immigrants.

  • Medicaid itself reported $543 billion in improper payments, but external analyses show that the true number of improper payments is likely much higher.

• They voted against a welfare system that better helps those most in need of assistance—mothers, seniors, individuals with disabilities, and low-income families.

DEMOCRATS VOTED AGAINST RESTORING FISCAL SANITY

• House Republicans passed landmark legislation that delivers the largest deficit reduction in nearly 30 years, securing $1.6 trillion in mandatory savings and Democrats chose to vote against it. 

  • For decades, Republicans have promised to cut wasteful spending and reduce our national debt, while Democrats have only defended the wasteful spending.

• Once again Democrats voted to waste billions of taxpayer dollars on the Green New Scam.

• They put protecting waste, fraud, and abuse above protecting the American people.

DEMOCRATS VOTED AGAINST PROTECTING OUR CHILDREN

• Democrats ended taxpayer funding for the mutilation and chemical castration of children. 

DEMOCRATS VOTED AGAINST UNLEASHING ECONOMIC GROWTH

• The One, Big, Beautiful Bill will unleash economic growth ushering in a new Golden Age of prosperity for American workers, families, farmers, and small businesses.

• 212 Democrats voted against: 

  • Rewarding companies that build new factories in the U.S. 

  • Lower taxes for businesses that produce domestically.

  • Up to 5.5 percent higher GDP (in real levels).

  • Up to 7.4 million jobs saved or created.

DEMOCRATS VOTED AGAINST UNLEASHING AMERICAN ENERGY

• Democrats voted against unlocking America’s full energy potential and bringing down costs for American families. 

• Democrats voted for:  

  • The same anti-energy Biden-era policies that sent prices soaring across America, killed American jobs, locked up our domestic resources.

  • The costly Green New Scam. 

  • Biden’s oppressive EV mandates and which makes cars more expensive.

  • The Biden administration’s job-killing, pro-China, anti-American energy regulations.

  • For radical climate activists to continue to set the standard for American energy.

DEMOCRATS VOTED AGAINST AMERICA’S MILITARY

• The One, Big, Beautiful Bill ensures our country’s weaponry and defense systems are modernized to protect America against 21st-century threats. 

• Democrats voted against:  

  • Putting America First.

  • Keeping our military ready, capable, lethal, and equipped to protect America against any threats. 

  • Peace-through-strength. 

  • A Golden Dome missile defense shield to protect America.

  • Overhauling our air traffic control systems, correcting the Biden administration’s failures that have put American lives at risk.

  • Against modernizing the Coast Guard, upgrading ships, planes, icebreakers, and facilities to keep our homeland safe.

  • Restoring America’s maritime dominance with critical investments in American shipbuilding.

Looking Ahead: Staying Strong and United

As we move into June, the momentum for our conservative cause is undeniable. The past weeks have brought important victories—from the House passing the landmark One Big Beautiful Bill to decisive executive actions rolling back harmful policies and cutting drug costs for hardworking Americans.

These wins remind us that our commitment and activism matter. With the Senate now considering the Big Beautiful Bill, it’s more important than ever for Flagler County Republicans to stay engaged, informed, and ready to support our shared goals.

Together, we will continue advancing the America First agenda, defending our values, and electing conservative leaders at every level—from Congress to the Governor’s Mansion to our local offices.
