Flagler County Republican Executive Committee Update – September2026

THE PATRIOT POST

September 2026 Edition

Flagler County Republican Executive Committee

From the Primary to the General Election

As summer winds down and fall approaches, the FlaglerGOP is turning its attention toward the November General Election.

The 2026 General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 3, with early voting in Flagler County currently scheduled for October 19 through October 31, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day. Florida's voter registration deadline for the General Election is October 5.

For the FlaglerGOP, the coming weeks will be about organization, communication, volunteer engagement and making sure our members have the information and resources they need as Election Day approaches.

The August Primary showed what our volunteers can accomplish when we work together. Now, we're preparing to do it again.

Representative Sam Greco: The Importance of GOTV

Florida State Representative Sam Greco joined the FlaglerGOP meeting and spoke with members about the importance of Get Out The Vote — GOTV as we move toward the General Election.

Rep. Greco represents Florida House District 19, which includes Flagler County and part of St. Johns County.

His message centered on the importance of voter participation and the role grassroots organizations play in helping voters stay informed and engaged throughout an election cycle.

With numerous federal, state and local offices appearing on the November ballot, the 2026 General Election is a significant election year for Florida voters. The Flagler County Elections Office lists the U.S. Senate, U.S. House District 6, Governor and Cabinet offices, Florida House District 19 and other state, judicial and local offices among the contests on the 2026 ballot.

For our membership, that means the work continues.

Chairman's Corner

Perry Mitrano

Chairman Perry Mitrano expanded on Rep. Greco's message, emphasizing the important role our Precinct Captains play in keeping members connected and engaged.

Our Precinct Captains are a vital link between the FlaglerGOP and the voters and Republican households in their respective precincts. As we enter the final stretch of the election cycle, we are encouraging our Precinct Captains to reach out, communicate with members and help keep everyone informed about opportunities to participate.

The work of a Precinct Captain doesn't have to be complicated. Sometimes it is simply making a phone call, sharing information, checking in with a fellow member or helping someone find the information they need to participate.

Every connection matters.

Volunteer Spotlight

Paula Bedner — Vice Chair

Vice Chair Paula Bedner is already looking ahead to the volunteer effort for the General Election.

Following the tremendous response from volunteers during the Primary Election, the FlaglerGOP will once again be looking for members willing to lend a hand.

Opportunities will include:

  • Poll Watching

  • Call Center Volunteers

  • FlaglerGOP Tent Volunteers

  • Early Voting Outreach

  • Event and Election Support

The FlaglerGOP is especially grateful to everyone who stepped forward during the Primary. Whether you spent an entire day volunteering or simply gave a few hours when you could, your contribution helped make the operation possible.

Now we're looking forward to another strong volunteer effort for the General Election.

If you helped during the Primary, thank you — and we hope you'll join us again!

And if you weren't able to participate last time, this is a great opportunity to get involved.

Building the FlaglerGOP of Tomorrow

Secretary Ron Long

Secretary Ron Long highlighted several areas where the FlaglerGOP is continuing to grow — including social media, membership and member communications.

As the organization continues to expand its digital presence, we're looking for volunteers who can help strengthen our social media team and assist with membership outreach.

We're also looking for members willing to help with some of the important jobs that happen behind the scenes at our monthly meetings, including:

Meeting Check-In • Greeting • Member Assistance • Hospitality

These positions may require only a few hours a month, but they make a tremendous difference in the experience of everyone who walks through the door.

Something New Is Coming!

The FlaglerGOP is also developing a new member communication and engagement app designed to make it easier for members to stay connected, receive information and participate in the organization.

Development is underway, and more information will be presented at the October meeting.

Stay tuned!

VOLUNTEER. CONNECT. PARTICIPATE.

The strength of any grassroots organization comes from the people who are willing to step forward.

The FlaglerGOP has many opportunities for members to become involved — and not every volunteer role requires a major time commitment.

Maybe you can make a few phone calls.

Maybe you can spend a morning at the tent.

Maybe you can greet members at the next meeting.

Maybe you can help with social media.

Maybe you're ready to become more involved with your precinct.

Whatever your interest, there is a place for you.

As we move from the Primary into the General Election, we're grateful for every member who gives their time, energy and talents to help build a stronger organization.

Thank you for being part of the FlaglerGOP family.
