Community Engagement Fuels Active Start to Election Year

FLAGLER COUNTY — The Flagler County Republican Executive Committee began February with a surge of grassroots activity, pointing to an energized election season taking shape across the county.

Through public forums, community festivals, volunteer outreach, and steady membership growth, local Republicans have been increasing both their visibility and their organizational readiness. Leaders say the early momentum reflects a broader focus on personal interaction — meeting residents where they are, encouraging participation, and strengthening the structure needed for the approaching midterm cycle.

From conversations at community events to expanding volunteer efforts behind the scenes, the organization has worked to build not just attendance, but engagement. The approach emphasizes preparation months ahead of Election Day, ensuring volunteers, precinct teams, and outreach operations are ready well before campaigning reaches its peak.

As the election year unfolds, organizers say the goal remains simple: build connections, grow participation, and maintain an active presence throughout Flagler County rather than waiting for the final weeks of the campaign season.

Candidate Forum Brings Voters and Local Leaders Together in Person

PALM COAST — Residents gathered February 5 at the Palm Coast Community Center for the 2026 Candidate Forum, an evening focused on direct conversation between voters and those seeking public office. The event was organized by the Flagler County Republican Executive Committee as part of its continuing effort to encourage informed civic participation throughout Flagler County.

Rather than speeches alone, the forum centered on open dialogue. Attendees asked questions, discussed policy priorities, and met candidates face-to-face — giving voters the chance to evaluate positions and personalities in a setting far more personal than online discussion. Organizers emphasized that respectful, in-person conversation remains one of the most effective ways for voters to make confident decisions before ballots are cast.

Special appreciation was extended to the candidates who took time to appear, answer questions, and engage directly with residents. Their willingness to participate in a public forum helped create a productive and informative evening for the community.

Equally important were the volunteers who coordinated check-in, seating, timing, and logistics throughout the night. Event leaders noted that without volunteer support, gatherings of this scale simply could not happen. From preparation to clean-up, their efforts ensured the evening ran smoothly and remained welcoming for every attendee.

By the end of the forum, many participants stayed to continue conversations with candidates and neighbors alike — reinforcing the event’s goal of strengthening local involvement through direct, respectful interaction.

Creekside Festival Connects Community, Conversation and Civic Engagement

FLAGLER COUNTY — Sunshine, great food, and hometown pride filled the air at the 20th Annual Creekside Festival, where the Flagler County Republican Executive Committee hosted a community outreach tent and spent the day connecting with residents from across the county.

Throughout the festival, candidates and volunteers met hundreds of attendees, turning what could have been a typical political appearance into something much more meaningful — neighbors having real conversations with neighbors. Discussions centered on local government, schools, public safety, and the future direction of Flagler County, all in the relaxed and welcoming environment that makes community festivals so special.

One of the highlights of the weekend was the ever-popular chili cook-off, where friendly competition and delicious recipes drew large crowds. Congratulations to the Bunnell Police Department for taking home both first-place awards — an impressive accomplishment that added to the spirit of fun and camaraderie.

Volunteers distributed information, helped residents sign up for updates, and encouraged participation in upcoming meetings and events. The number of REC members who stepped up to serve marked one of the strongest outreach turnouts the committee has seen outside of an election month.

Leadership extended sincere thanks to every volunteer who gave their time. Organizers noted that it’s the volunteers who make events like Creekside not only successful, but enjoyable and easy to execute. Their willingness to serve ensures outreach efforts remain positive, organized, and community-focused.

By the end of the day, the takeaway was clear: strong communities are built through conversation, service, and shared experiences — and Creekside once again delivered on all three.

Membership Growth and Volunteer Push Highlight FlaglerGOP Monthly Meeting

PALM COAST — During its recent monthly gathering at the Palm Coast Community Center, the Flagler County Republican Executive Committee reviewed updates from the Republican Party of Florida and outlined preparations for the approaching election cycle.

The organization also welcomed two new members, continuing a steady growth trend seen since the beginning of the year. Leadership noted that expanding membership directly strengthens volunteer capacity, improves voter contact efforts, and enhances precinct organization across the county.

Volunteers Needed Across Multiple Efforts

With campaign season approaching, officials emphasized that additional volunteers are essential to building turnout and maintaining strong community engagement.

A major focus will be staffing the committee’s phone call center, where volunteers will help reach voters across Flagler County. Training sessions will be announced to teach members how to use the calling equipment and systems, ensuring even first-time participants can comfortably assist.

In addition, volunteers will be needed at voting locations during early voting and on Election Day. The committee plans to operate outreach tents at polling sites where representatives can greet voters, answer questions, and provide information about local candidates and issues.

Leaders stressed that strong participation will play a key role in ensuring high turnout throughout the county and keeping local voters engaged in the electoral process.

FlaglerGOP Expands Digital Communications to Keep Members Better Connected

FLAGLER COUNTY — The Flagler County Republican Executive Committee is rolling out a series of digital upgrades designed to deliver faster, clearer, and more reliable communication with members and volunteers.

Leaders say the effort reflects the growing size of the organization and the need to coordinate activities efficiently as the election season approaches. Rather than relying on scattered updates across multiple platforms, the committee is building a centralized system where members can easily find information and stay engaged.

New Digital Initiatives

  • Expanded activity on Facebook

  • Launch of an account on X

  • Member-only online community pages

  • Development of a future mobile app

At the center of the plan is the FlaglerGOP Member Portal, which will gradually become the primary hub for announcements, volunteer coordination, event registration, and internal communication. While email and social media will still be used, the portal is intended to provide real-time updates in one convenient location.

Organizers encourage members to create an account as soon as possible, noting that the new system will make it easier to stay informed, sign up for activities, and participate in committee efforts throughout the year.

Portable Phone Bank Aims to Expand Voter Outreach Across District

FLAGLER COUNTY — As preparations continue for the midterm election cycle, the Flagler County Republican Executive Committee is introducing a portable phone-bank system designed to reach voters beyond traditional office settings.

The mobile setup allows volunteers to make calls from community events, outreach booths, and temporary pop-up locations, greatly increasing flexibility and contact volume throughout Florida's 6th congressional district. Organizers say the goal is to strengthen Get-Out-The-Vote efforts by meeting voters where they already gather rather than relying solely on centralized operations.

Leadership noted that local elections can shift quickly when voter contact declines, pointing to recent political swings in parts of Miami and Texas as reminders that consistent communication matters at every level of government. By expanding outreach capacity early, the committee hopes to maintain steady engagement well before ballots are cast.

Training opportunities will accompany the rollout so volunteers of all experience levels can participate, helping ensure reliable voter contact throughout the election season.

Volunteers Sought as Election Season Approaches in Flagler County

FLAGLER COUNTY — As preparations ramp up for the upcoming midterm election cycle, the Flagler County Republican Executive Committee is calling on residents to lend a hand in a variety of volunteer roles aimed at strengthening voter outreach across the community.

Organizers say grassroots participation remains the backbone of successful local engagement efforts, and even small amounts of time can make a measurable difference. From meeting neighbors at events to helping behind the scenes, volunteers of all experience levels are encouraged to step forward — because, as the saying goes, many hands make light work.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Community outreach

  • Phone banking

  • Event operations

  • Precinct support

  • Technical assistance

Leadership notes that just a few hours of participation can significantly expand voter contact throughout the county, helping ensure residents stay informed and connected during the election season.
